Fall 2013 Fundraising
We have a few different Fundraisers in various stages of development.
BUY LOCAL COUPON BOOKS This annual project of Local First Vermont features over 200 coupons from locally owned, independent businesses across Vermont. You will also find a farmer's market directory and features on community gardens, Vermont breweries and festivals. Through a partnership between Local First Vermont and Red Barn Fundraising, the Buy Local Book is now available at HCS. A book is $20, which can easily be made back after using only a few coupons! Books are currently on sale at the front desk at HCS. Also look for them at Open House on Sept. 25th and at Harvest Festival at Town Hall on Saturday, Sept. 28th.
RED BARN/GENEVIEVE'S This is our biggest fundraiser of the year with a goal of $8,000. Every dollar we raise goes right back into our school in the
form of grants to teachers, funding for enrichment activities, support for the
school garden and other educational projects that benefit the whole school
community. To reach this goal we need a majority of students to sell at least 5 items. We earn up to 50% profit from all sales. Don’t forget the
power of email. We encourage you to
reach out to your networks, including friends and out of town relatives, to
help increase sales. Go to www.genevieves.com and shop online, our school code is 21095. Our school receives the profit now and from additional purchases through May 2014. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
BOX TOPS/LABELS FOR EDUCATION Send in your Box Tops (clipped neatly on the dotted line please!), Labels for Education
and Tyson A+ labels by October 28th
to qualify for the Fall Raffle. Each 10 labels a student brings in earns a
raffle entry - don’t drop them off without your child’s name and classroom clearly noted, or we can’t enter them in
the raffle.

Golf Tournament Huge Success
Our Golf Tournament last weekend was a huge success!
So many businesses and individuals to thank - especially The 4x4 Center and Vermont Heating and Ventilating, our Gold and Silver sponsors and Cedar Knoll!
We're still doing the final tally but we think we raised about $3,500 for HCS.
Thanks to all who helped make this event happen.
